Education to Further the Knowledge of Hypnosis

The Florida Society
of Clinical Hypnosis

We are a Florida professional association dedicated to the education and clinical application of hypnosis by licensed physicians, dentists, psychologists, podiatrists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, mental health counselors, acupuncturists, chiropractors, nurses, physical therapists, and other licensed health care professionals who qualify for training and membership.

THE FLORIDA SOCIETY OF CLINICAL HYPNOSIS is an awarded component chapter of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH). We offer training workshops in both Basic Hypnosis and Advanced Hypnosis, designed to fulfill licensing requirements and to provide professional growth and knowledge for workshop participants. We are fortunate to have master clinicians in our organization to provide much of this education and training, and often have nationally recognized practitioners as well.

Diversity Statement:

In accord with The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, The Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis welcomes members and training participants of all faiths and religious backgrounds, people of all races, ethnicities, national origins, gender identities and expressions, sexual or affectional orientations, and political beliefs. As a professional organization focused on the highest standards of clinical hypnosis training and research, we are committed to multiculturalism and stand against all forms of discrimination. We at The Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis believe everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and equipped to thrive. Our overarching goal is to provide healthcare professionals with the skills to promote healing, growth, autonomy, and empowerment in those we serve.

As defined on the ASCH website under the Public tab, hypnosis is:

“A state of consciousness involving focused attention and reduced peripheral awareness characterized by an enhanced capacity for response to suggestion.”

Under that same tab, there is much more information as well as answers to frequently asked questions. We hope you will find these links helpful.

We believe clinicians should practice the relaxation we teach our clients as part of their own life care. For that reason, our workshops are presented either via Zoom in the comfort of your home, or in relaxing Florida locations so that our participants and their families can build vacations around them. The combination of extensive learning, collegiality, and family enjoyment contributes to the warmth and meaning many of our members experience from our Society.

We welcome your interest, and invite you to explore our website and the announcements of upcoming workshops.
